Learn how to communicate effectively with your pooch in a fun, friendly environment. Not only will you and your dog learn the fundamental basics of proper pooch behavior, but you’ll also learn how to prevent and solve common problem behaviors (chewing, barking, etc.).

- Sit

- Leave It
Melissa Kroll, of Bad Dog Basics , is a nationally certified Dog Trainer with over 10 years of experience and carries CPR and Pet First Aid certifications.

Join us as we welcome Save One Soul Animal Rescue League for their monthly adoption event at Bow chika Wow Town. If you are looking to add a pet to your family – this is THE event to attend. Visit their website to see the listing of adoptable dogs. Fill out an application prior to the event to be pre-approved to adopt and you could even take your new family member home that day!
Why Is Puppy Socialization Important?
Well-socialized puppies usually develop into safer, more relaxed and enjoyable dogs. At our Puppy Social, we will offer off-leash play to help socialize puppies with each other, teaching them to be gentle with their mouthing and biting, and get them used to being handled by a variety of people. We will follow up our socialization experience with praise, petting, and a special treat!
Why bring your pup here for this experience?
Visits to dog parks or other areas that aren’t sanitized, or are highly trafficked by dogs of unknown vaccination or disease status, should be avoided. Here at BcWT, our indoor play space is cleaned and disinfected daily. In addition, all dogs entering our facility are up to date on their vaccinations.
All guests will be required to sign a Registration & Release form as well as providing proof of up to date, age appropriate vaccinations. This play group is ideal for puppies between 12 & 24 weeks of age.

Become certified in canine and feline CPR and First Aid. The instructors from Pet Emergency Education are nationally recognized for providing pet CPR, first aid and emergency response training. In addition, their Pet CPR+ Certification Program is rapidly becoming the premiere pet CPR training program for animal and veterinary professionals as well as animal lovers everywhere!
*This class will certify the participant in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid*
The skills and topics covered in this class include:
- Safety techniques when working with sick and/or injured animals
- How to restrain and transport sick and/or injured animals
- Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, CRT)
- Importance of the first aid kit
- How to manage common medical emergencies such as severe wounds, poisoning, burns, choking, etc.
- Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on dogs and cats (PetCPR+ Certification)Class is $69.95 per person and includes a copy of the Manual, 2 CPR certification wallet cards, a certificate and a 2 yr subscription to our online resource center.
**This class awards 3 CEU’s to veterinary professionals and 4.5 CEU’s to CCPDT dog trainers**
Join us for a free informational session as we introduce you to the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program.
We will talk about the 10 steps needed to be mastered to pass the exam and who is eligible to participate. This is a program that can help us assure that the dogs we love will always be welcomed and well-respected members of our communities.
Hosting this session will be our trainer Jenni Coes. Jenni has over 20 years of dog training experience and is the founder of Peaceful Paws Pet Care. Jenni is a certified CGC evaluator (#2659) as well as being a certified dog trainer by the International Positive Dog Training Associations.

Do you have a particular dog of interest? Don’t wait until the event to get the adoption process started. Submit your SOS application at sosarl.org/aa at least three days in advance to start the pre-screening process and save time at the event.
Please plan to bring your entire family to the event. If you have a resident dog(s) and he/she’s up to date on all shots, please bring him/her for a Meet’n’Greet and someone to handle him/her outside, as he/she can’t come inside until the vet check has been competed and a private meeting is scheduled. if you aren’t pre-screened, please bring all vetting records and history for your resident dog(s). Respectful children are always welcome when supervised by a legal guardian.
